SGM Projects has a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects across various industries. Here are a few examples of our work:
Nuclear
Cavendish Nuclear Ltd: Provided project work package management for the Silos Maintenance Facility (SMF) EPC project at Sellafield and project management for the Magnox Berkeley R4 ILW Waste Vault Retrievals EPC project.
Amec Foster Wheeler: Provided project management for asset care tasks and minor projects, programme management of asset care tasks and minor projects, and management of tasks under a NEC professional services framework contract.
Nuvia Ltd: Provided work package management for the Sellafield SDP Project and project controls and project engineering activities for a major design consultancy project at Dounreay. Provided project and bid management support to the preparation of major engineering services and EPC bids < £1.5B for major government procurement projects. Also managed project portfolios, including design, engineering periodic safety reviews (PSR) and safety case production/reviews.
Hinkley Point C, Nuclear Sampling Systems: Provided final contract clarifications for the preferred bidder and project management start-up and mobilisation for thea nuclear sampling system project for both units, before handing over to the clients in-house project manager for implementation.
Magnox Chapelcross MILWEP (Modular Intermediate Level Waste Encapsulation Plant): Provided project management from design through to commissioning. Services included the management of the project design and CDM site based teams, stakeholder managementand, project planning, change control (NEC3), risk management, and project controls coordination.
Magnox Berkeley and Hinkley Point A MILWEP: Provided work package subcontract management, NEC3 CENs and quotations, and deputy project management services.
Pharmaceutical
GSK Plc, Laboratory Fume Ventilation and HVAC Upgrade Project: Front end engineering design (FEED) study and CAPEX / investment proposal. Project management and engineering.
GSK Plc, Automated Laboratory Testing Equipment: Facilitated a requirements capture and optioneering workshop, produced design concepts/schemes with supporting calculations, and delivered a feasibility study for testing drug delivery devices.
Howorth Airtech, Bolton: Project management and engineering of numerous projects including controlled environments, containment solutions, gloveboxes and powder handing/processing facilities within the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Other Notable Projects
Cytec Engineered Materials: Project management and project engineering for vessel safety improvements, nitrogen generation, vessel inerting and projects as well as a new R&D pilot scale resin mixing facility.
UPM Shotton Paper (Paper Industry): Provided a wide array of services over multiple projects, including feasibility studies, CAPEX proposals, project planning, shutdown and installation planning, compliance with CDM regulations and machinery regulations, site installation supervision, plant upgrades, and safety and environmental improvements.
